Plans submitted to transform former Shungara restaurant in Pershore High Street into a new pizza takeaway.

They want to put it in the old Shungara restaurant spot. The location is 44 High Street, and it is seeking approval from Wychavon District Council. Planning papers say the project needs permission.
The plan involves changing the building’s use, putting in new vents, and doing small updates. The building is in the main shopping area, and the new place will help the town center.
It will fill an empty storefront and create jobs. More people will visit, which helps the town. The reports claim noise won’t be an issue; new systems will keep smells and sounds down.
Parking should not be a problem either. The pizza place wants to open every day, and they plan to operate from 11 AM to 11 PM. Sodha Enterprises Ltd hopes to open the shop and think it will create jobs.
There will be ten full-time and fifteen part-time positions. People can voice their opinions until February 27. The Civic Society isn’t against the plan, but it is worried about the noise it might cause.
The building’s second floor will stay as apartments. The building is thought to be from the 1600s. Pretty old, right?
