Hey, so something happened in Taunton. Police closed the A358 Viaduct Road. It’s blocked both ways at the flyover bridge. This all happened today, Saturday, February 8th.

Emergency vehicles rushed to the scene. People saw three fire engines and two police cars. An ambulance was also there. Traffic is now really bad near Wickes roundabout. It’s also a mess on the A3807 and A3038.

Police shut down that whole area. Police said the Obridge Road closure is due to a welfare concern. Emergency services are handling it. The ambulance service got a call at 4:30 PM today about an incident.

They sent lots of help. Two ambulances and two critical care cars went. An operations officer went too. They took one person to Southmead Hospital in an ambulance.

Train police also responded. They got a call around 4 PM about concern for someone’s welfare. This happened near Taunton railway station. Paramedics helped. A person went to the hospital with serious injuries. Police don’t think it’s a suspicious event.
