Teddington RNLI Reflects on Three Lives Saved and 200 Years of Service
The station has volunteer crew members, and they had 113 call-outs last year. Their lifeboats launched 130 times in total.
The crew works on the busy River Thames. They held 102 water safety events last year. The crew also did 193 lifejacket checks. Doing so is helpful for river and sea visitors, and they teach what to do in an emergency.
The RNLI charity marked a big milestone in 2024, celebrating their 200th anniversary. A special service at Westminster Abbey marked the occasion. They participated in several charity events, and Remembrance Day was one of them.
