Three teenage girls face manslaughter charges after a 75 year old man died in Islington, London, following an attack.

The girls allegedly attacked Fredi Rivero. They pushed, shoved, kicked, and punched him. They surrounded him first, the court heard. This tragic event occurred on Seven Sisters Road.
Mr. Rivero was likely from Bolivia. The attack happened around 11:35 pm on Thursday. One girl recorded the incident using her phone during the attack.
Police and paramedics tried to help Mr. Rivero. They treated him at the scene immediately. Sadly, he died in the hospital on Friday.
Police arrested the teens originally, suspecting grievous bodily harm initially. The charges changed to manslaughter after his death. The girls are fourteen, sixteen, and seventeen.
Court officials did not release their names because of their young ages. They appeared in court on Monday at Highbury Corner Youth Court.
Mr. Rivero was near a bus stop earlier. The girls got off a bus nearby his location. They surrounded him, the court found.
The girls left, then quickly returned. They pushed and shoved the victim. Testimony says they kicked and punched him. One teen filmed it, the prosecution stated.
The man then fell to the ground. Alexia Fetherstonhaugh oversees the case. She ordered them to youth detention. They will appear at the Old Bailey on March 31st.
