A County Durham teen crashed a stolen motorcycle during a police chase and broke his leg. He was sentenced to 14 months.

A police officer on a motorcycle saw Parker, who sped off towards Chester-le-Street, trying to escape. He went 60 mph in a 30 mph zone, passing cars at junctions and going over crossings fast. He had zero care for safety.
He lost control on Front Street, a busy area with lots of people. He skidded and almost hit a mom and her kids. A 12-year-old boy got hurt by flying debris.
Parker broke his leg in the crash, and police took him to the hospital. His blood showed he had cocaine. He was 19 at the time.
Parker admitted to dangerous driving and taking the bike without permission. He drove unfit due to drugs and had no license or insurance. He’s now 20. His lawyer said Parker is sorry and understands how serious it all was. He wants to say sorry to everyone involved and is off drugs now.
The judge said Parker was on cocaine, which made things much worse. It’s lucky no one died. The judge also considered Parker’s ADHD issues.
The judge sentenced him to 14 months in a youth detention center, plus he can’t drive for 21 months. He also needs to pay the bike owner’s insurance, which will cost him £100.
