New routes to Malaga and Corfu boost Teesside Airport. Bookings surge for Costa del Sol and Bulgaria holidays.

This Ryanair Malaga route is a first in years. You can visit Nerja caves or Malaga’s Picasso Museum. Beaches offer spring sunshine, too! Natalie Burrows says business really picked up lately. She said many prefer Teesside to bigger airports. Window and Facebook ads are working great.
Corfu is also popular from Teesside this summer. Ryanair starts weekly Corfu flights on June 7. Natalie said they saw lots of interest in Corfu deals! She thinks Malaga will also be a hit. First Malaga flight leaves March 31, operating until October 23.
You can fly to Majorca twice weekly from March 30. Faro flights begin April 2, running Wednesdays and Saturdays. Alicante flights continue year-round, three times a week. TUI goes to Dalaman, Turkey, on Tuesdays starting in May. TUI also flies you to Majorca in May, four times weekly! Balkan Holidays offers weekly flights to Bourgas, Bulgaria in May.
Seaside Travel thinks Teesside Airport is convenient. They said Benidorm is popular and sells well. Malaga should be popular too. Mayor Ben Houchen said Seaside Travel supports the airport. They work to get more flights people want. Local travel agents are important, he added.
Phil Forster said they promote the airport at events. They also inform travel agents for the turnaround plan. He also added that they have good partnerships with agents. Aviation has challenges, he admits, but they work hard. They aim to keep flights and attract new routes. There’s a Benidorm deal for £548, including breakfast. It flies out February 22, returning March 1.
