A Tenby councillor is pushing for quicker housing construction at Brynhir, expressing timeline concerns after delays.

The council chose Morgan Construction for the project after a bidding process. Construction should start this summer, and the development is called Brynhir.
They plan to build 125 homes total, and these homes vary in size. Ninety-three will be affordable rentals. Sixteen homes will be for shared ownership, and sixteen will be for open market sale.
The whole project should finish in 2029. Councillor Blackhall thinks progress is good overall, and he spoke to other Tenby councillors recently.
However, he is disappointed the timeline slipped, meaning homes arrive later – about six months later than expected. The timeline has slipped before too.
Blackhall wants the council to improve and avoid future delays. He suggests a management program, saying project management matters because people are waiting.
Blackhall wants to write the council. He will welcome progress in his letter, express his concerns about delays, and ask about their plans to avoid this.
Mayor Dai Morgan agreed with Blackhall. He said delays are not helpful, and even short delays cause problems.
