Hannah Saunders, former Interpretation Officer, is now Curator at Tenby Museum & Art Gallery. She is a local heritage enthusiast.

The museum is the oldest independent one in Wales. It sits on Castle Hill, near the sea. Hannah is grateful for her time there, spending days with amazing art. Suits of armor and relics were also present. She lives in Goodwick now.
Hannah wanted this role for a decade. She is happy it happened in Tenby. Her mother’s family lived here, and she spent her life visiting them here.
Hannah learned to walk on the beach by the museum. She sailed on Accolade. Her family is in the sea by St Catherine’s. Her great grandmother loved the Museum.
Hannah graduated in 2015 and got her MA in 2018. She has worked in arts jobs since then, including artist residencies and community arts events.
The museum is approaching its 150th anniversary in 2028. Hannah wants to help the museum thrive, acknowledging that culture faces challenges right now.
Medieval Saints interest her most. She studies relics and pilgrimage routes. Gwen John is Hannah’s favorite artist, and she feels lucky to work with John’s art.
Someone wanted to use John’s art on a book cover. It’s a book by Hannah’s great-great-great aunt. Hannah feels like she is in the right place. She appreciates the museum’s team.
