Okay, so TfL will cancel bus route 414. This change starts on February 22, 2025, a Saturday. They decided after getting 914 responses. This followed a six-week consultation period.

Most responses came from the public, with 905 people giving their opinions. 89 seemed for New Routemaster buses. Organisations and public transport users responded too. Nine responses came from these stakeholders.

The consultation got lots of different thoughts. A lot of people didn’t like the changes. 471 thought merging routes would be bad, which is over half.

People worried about overcrowding on route 14. They also mentioned hospital access issues if route 414 stops. Changing buses could be hard for some riders too. Hammersmith and Fulham Council disagreed with the plan. They thought it would hurt disabled people.

TfL suggests using routes 14 and 74 instead. Route 14 runs like route 414 to Hyde Park. Route 74 runs like route 414 to Marble Arch. Route 14 will get a new schedule then. Daytime buses will come more often on weekdays, running every eight minutes. Evenings and Sundays get buses every ten minutes. The night bus will stay the same, still running every 15 minutes.
