Aslef strike cancels Elizabeth line trains. Disruptions expected February 27, March 1, 8, and 10 due to pay dispute.

Reduced services are planned elsewhere. This affects the Liverpool Street to Shenfield line. No trains will run there between 7 AM and 6 PM. These reduced services happen on strike days this week. Certain stations won’t have service, including Maryland and Manor Park.
TfL will share March 8 and 10 details later. Union leaders say drivers strongly support striking. Ninety-five percent voted yes, with an 88% turnout. Only 5% voted against the strike.
MTR is “disappointed” drivers rejected a pay raise. They offered a 4.5% increase, according to MTR’s director. He said it includes good benefits and high pay. The union boss disagrees with MTR’s offer. He thinks MTR’s behavior is due to losing its contract, as MTR will no longer run the Elizabeth line in May; another company will take over on May 24.
Expect other Tube lines to be crowded because of the Elizabeth line strike. TfL is still talking to the union now and wants the union to stop the strike.
TfL asks everyone to check before traveling and to allow extra travel time during the strike. Use the TfL website or app for updates. They want to avoid disrupting passengers.
