The Court House pub in Trowbridge reopens February 11th under new managers Sheila Smith & Richard Webb offering affordable options.

Sheila Smith and Richard Webb will manage it. They plan an affordable menu that will appeal to everyone in Trowbridge. They are tenant landlords for K2 Inns.
They used to run the King’s Arms, a pub in Hilperton that was up for sale. They are happy to run The Court House and they like having a pub in town.
The pub opens at 11 am on February 11th. They aim for quality food and cheap drinks. They want prices as low as possible.
Local suppliers will give them food because they want to keep it local. They will also serve coffees and cakes.
They will provide entertainment too. Fruit machines are already there, and they hope to add pool tables next week. They will remove the jukebox.
They will use their speaker system instead, which makes it nicer for customers. They also plan karaoke and will show rugby games from the Six Nations.
The pub has two televisions, and they will show all the remaining games. They have been working fast to open, and people keep asking when they will open.
Webb wants people to visit, saying prices are cheap now. The brewery helped them lower prices, which is how the Kings Arms does it too.
The pub may close early on quiet nights given their license lasts until 12:30 am. They will stay open late if it is busy.
Plans existed to rebrand, but this is not happening. The pub will still be The Court House because people know it by that name.
The old owners left last year because they wanted to focus on their personal lives. Many Trowbridge pubs are closing or changing owners.
The Lodge closed in January because of costs, and tenants left the Farmhouse Inn too. Business is harder now.
