The Storytellers, a popular pub in Stockton on Dovecot Street, is closing its doors after 13 years due to financial difficulties.

This pub opened in Stockton back in 2012. They had beer, ales, and ciders. Live music happened there often too.
The owners managed it for three and a half years. They said they are tired. Financial troubles made it impossible to keep going.
The Storytellers was a key part of Stockton Calling. It’s a music festival each year. It uses many venues in town. The pub hopes the festival stage can still happen, somewhere else. They are sad to miss the 2025 festival.
The pub said it was their time to close. Last year was hard for them. They tried their hardest to keep it running. They saw fewer customers last year. Costs went up a lot too. It became too expensive to keep the pub open.
They loved their time at the pub. They thanked customers and musicians. Staff were also thanked for their help.
Many people are sad about the closing. Someone said they had great nights there, seeing many musicians perform. Another person is very disappointed. It was a great bar to visit; awesome bands played there. Their kids loved it. They will really miss the pub.
