The Styling Room in Tadcaster Road a York Press Best Hairdresser Finalist

The Styling Room made the York Press Best Hairdresser top ten. They are one of the finalists! Readers nominated their favorite hairdressers online. Now, you can vote in The Press newspaper. Voting closes on March 1.

The winner will be announced the week of March 10. The Press will feature each business and explain why they deserve the win. The Styling Room opened in 2018. It sits at 84 Tadcaster Road.

Mae Cashmore, Leanne Pallister, and Courtney Parkins own it. They met at another salon and wanted to create their own special place. They built a warm and welcoming salon where clients feel like friends.

The salon specializes in hair color. The stylists also cut both male and female hair. Leanne Fowler joined them with twenty years’ experience. She specializes in extensions and balayage.

Nail artists, @nail_hub_york and @frayamay.nails, work there five days a week. Clients can get a complete makeover. The salon faced challenges since 2018.

They overcame break-ins and a pandemic. Lockdowns happened, and babies arrived. The owners love their salon, and clients love to visit and relax there.
