A 38-year-old man stole alcohol worth £673 from a Tesco in Pontypool. He also stole other items from multiple stores.

He admitted the thefts in court. Ryan pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court. These thefts happened between October and January. The first theft happened on October 19, and the last theft was on January 16.
He stole perfume from The Perfume Shop and dishwasher tablets from One Stop. Ryan stole vacuums from Asda and also stole from Sainsbury’s. He took whisky from Tesco.
On October 19, he stole a £99 perfume set. The next day, he stole £94 worth of tablets. A vacuum worth £139.99 went missing on November 13. Then Lego and an iron were stolen. A different vacuum vanished on November 16.
Eleven whisky bottles were stolen later in November, along with gin and whiskey. Ryan then stole another vacuum. Ryan damaged a garden gate, too, costing £50. This happened in Cwmbran on January 18, and he admitted this crime as well.
The court sentenced Ryan to jail for 32 weeks. Ryan has no fixed address currently. He must pay his victims compensation. Police arrested him last week because he broke his license terms, having been released from jail January 9 after previously serving time for shoplifting.
