Ring doorbell captures brazen theft of Moonpig gifts intended for a family’s baby on Valentine’s Day in Canterbury.

The parcel arrived on Wednesday evening when no one was home. The thief seized the opportunity. Mr. Enness saw the thief on his doorbell camera while he was at work. The thief walked up to his front door boldly.
The thief had a bag in one hand. She bent down, grabbed the box, and walked away with the stolen items. Mr. Enness spoke to KentOnline about the incident, saying it made him lose trust in the community.
He said the community is nicer than where he grew up, but the theft is disheartening. The stolen items weren’t worth much money, but they had huge sentimental value for the family. They wanted to make it special for their daughter.
The card had her pictures and favorite things. Mr. Enness also planned to surprise his wife and hoped the card would aid their keepsake box. The box would hold memories of their baby’s first events.
They reported the incident to the police. Package thefts happen more often now due to increased online shopping. A man stole an Amazon package in Maidstone, and another similar theft happened in Westgate. Police are aware of this Canterbury theft.
