Thornton Hall Farm is a visitor place. It is near Church Road in Thornton-in-Craven. The farm also operates as a country park.

The park asked Pendle Council for permission. This request covered past work on the site. The council approved it with some rules.

The work includes some timber buildings, a teepee, and bouncy pillows. They also built a pedal tractor track and a hard area.

Chris and Emma Harrison own the farm. They worked hard to grow the business. It now has a wedding spot and open farm. They employ many people full and part-time.

The farm hosts special seasonal events for visitors.

The application said the site serves a visitor open farm. Five timber buildings help with events, including Christmas and Easter. Bouncy pillows have been there for over five years. Kids use them for fun at the open farm.

A concrete area has served as a tractor zone since 2021. Staff use a timber building as a rest area, and it’s been there for around nine years. A hard area created in 2021 has several uses.

The additions boost tourism at Thornton Hall Farm. This extends the season, even into winter. The work doesn’t harm the environment excessively, helps the area’s economy, and protects farmland.

Pendle Council asked for more parking spaces. The farm must add thirteen new spaces to ensure sufficient parking on the site.
