Scott Clive vanished. People knew him as Scott. His disappearance led to a murder probe. They never found his body.

Police arrested three people on Saturday after detectives acted on fresh information. Two men in their 40s and 50s got arrested, along with a woman in her 40s. All three are still with the police.

They searched a North Shields address in Coronation Street. Scott visited this place the night he vanished. The current resident moved there after 2002. Police arranged for other housing, allowing them to do their job.

Scott was last seen at 11 PM on October 10, 2002, near Coronation Street. Someone matching his description was seen near the Tyne River early the next day.

Detective Inspector Mark Atherton leads the case. He wants to give answers to Scott’s family. After getting new information, they decided to arrest the two men and the woman. Atherton thinks people have information in the local community.

Atherton urges people to come forward, particularly those who lived on Coronation Street then. Do you know about Scott’s movements that night? Any information could help, and could prove key to the investigation.

Police looked at lots of CCTV footage and spoke with many witnesses, starting over 20 years ago. If you have information, contact Northumbria Police via phone or social media. Quote case number NP-20240703-0398.
