Three fatalities, two injured after a boat capsized. One remains missing. Rescue efforts were undertaken.

Sadly, three people died. Two others got hurt in the accident. The boat was in the Ambrose Channel; it is a cold water area.
Someone called 911 from the boat and said it had turned upside down there. Emergency services rushed to help. Firefighters, police, and Coast Guard arrived and pulled folks from the water.
Five people got to hospitals. Two went by air to Staten Island, and three went to New Jersey by boat. One person is very critical right now; another is stable, thankfully.
They searched for more people Sunday night. Officials think a sixth person might be missing. The fire department said someone is still missing, but police could not confirm that.
The Coast Guard, police, and fire department investigate now. They want to know how it happened. The boat’s name is still unknown.
The Ambrose Channel sees lots of ships. It’s a key route for New York’s port. They haven’t shared the names of those who died.
