The Thurso Community Cafe helps people. They want better communication for those struggling. These people face mental health issues and addiction.

Ann Brock started the cafe in 2018 near the harbor. She now promotes activities at the new location, now located on Traill Street. Ann invites people to join the cafe and new projects. She says they have tea, coffee, and cake ready.

Expressive art classes help mental health. They happen Thursdays at 1:30 pm. The cafe opens Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 8:30 pm for people to chat and play pool.

The “Stepping Up” program builds confidence and occurs Mondays at 10 am until March. A self-harm support group begins February 20 at 4 pm. The support group meets in room 6 at the Northern Vault, where professionals will assist people and their families.

You can find more information on their Facebook page. The cafe is at 17 Traill Street, Thurso. You can email them at info@thursocommunitycafe.co.uk, or call them at 0789 449 5693.
