They will start improving a Thurston junction. Bloor Homes will begin work March 17. The location is Pokeriage Corner. Beyton Road will close for eight weeks. This road holds the junction itself. Thedwastre Road and Thurston Road will also close there. People can only access these roads.

This work should take about eight weeks and follows improvements at Fishwick Corner. Developers need to build infrastructure to support their 210-home development. The homes are located off Beyton Road.

Bloor Homes said the road will fully close. This affects Thedwastre Road, Beyton Road, and Thurston Road. Thedwastre Road south of the junction will also close too.

Detours use Thurston Road, Bury Road, and New Road. You can also use Station Hill and Sandpit Lane. The work starts Monday, March 17, and should take approximately eight weeks to finish.

Workers will add better lighting and signs, realign curbs, and improve drainage.

Andrew Ridgeon is “cautiously optimistic” that the work helps traffic. He also wants it to reduce accidents.
