Danny Taylor opens ‘Spud Boys’ in Blackburn on Feb 28, hoping to boost hometown pride and offer unique jacket potatoes.

Danny has planned some fun stuff starting at 11 AM. Music and challenges are planned. He’ll also have live drones and TikTok broadcasts.
Spud Boys will serve jacket potatoes. They’ll have classic toppings like cheese and beans. Chili con carne will also be on the menu. More unique options like keema mince, chicken jalfrezi and butter chicken will also be served.
Danny was inspired by a childhood visit to a potato wagon. He remembers the miniature potatoes from the 90s. He wants to give back to Blackburn and build something special for his hometown.
He hopes people visit from all over. Danny said celebrities contacted him. He thinks it would be good for Blackburn.
Food reviewers will attend, like Mr Tee King of Desserts. Bigga Boys Food Reviews and The Brummie Food Reviews will be there too. Danny is planning drones and TikTok livestreams.
Danny says Lancashire residents supported him a lot. He feels honored because the project became big locally. Jacket potato businesses are popular on TikTok now. Spudman, also known as Ben Newman, is TikTok famous, with videos showcasing him serving customers.
Danny is growing his TikTok following too. It’s not about money for Danny; he wants to give back to Blackburn. They are promoting the site online and also work with other businesses nearby.
Danny says he is excited to start. He wishes he could open right now and expects visitors from across the country.
Danny thanks Blackburn and Lancashire people and his business partner Rio Patel. They put a lot of time and money into this. He hopes to put Blackburn on the map through potatoes.
