Family run restaurant, formerly Da Nino, gains recognition for bringing classic Italian food to Southbourne.

Robert Saluzzo owns it. He grew up in Italy. His life revolved around restaurants, as his parents owned or worked in them. He learned many things from them, including cooking, serving, and management. These skills now help him run his place.
Tiny Italiano used to be Da Nino. Robert worked for Nino and knew him well. Nino asked Robert to take over. They used the Da Nino name briefly, but now, it’s officially Tiny Italiano.
They still offer some Da Nino dishes on a “legacy menu” with favorites. People loved Nino’s food, and Robert wants to honor that, as he values family tradition a lot.
His family being involved is essential. He explains he grew up around family food, and recipes come from his family. His mom even makes panna cotta, and she taught him tiramisu, too.
The Southbourne community is supportive. Robert really appreciates their encouragement and plans to redecorate the restaurant some more. He feels excited about the future; a new business is always a thrill.
