A three-year-old girl has died following a collision between a van and a tram in Manchester city Centre.

A three-year-old girl was hurt in the crash and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Sadly, police say the girl died from her injuries.
Police continue investigating the incident and have not arrested anyone yet. The crash is causing problems for the Metrolink, and trams are not running between St Peter’s Square and Piccadilly Gardens.
Diversions exist for travelers. A tram and a van collided, and police said that the girl was a pedestrian, meaning she was not in the tram or van.
Transport officials are very sorry and send their thoughts to the family. They are helping police with the investigation.
Police traffic officers are at the scene, and streets near St Peter’s Square will stay closed as they figure out what happened. Ambulance staff feel saddened; six ambulances went to Mosley Street, arriving at 9:58 AM, and tried to help.
