Hey, something happened at Stevenage station today. It was around 8:50 this morning, February 14. Someone was reported on the train tracks.

Sadly, that person died there, police confirmed. They do not think it was a suspicious event. They are preparing a coroner’s report.

Initially, all train lines were blocked at the station. This let emergency workers do their jobs. Now, only northbound lines are still closed. Southbound trains are running slowly on just one line.

National Rail says trains face major delays. Affected routes are London to Cambridge or Peterborough. Expect problems until about 3 PM.

Thameslink trains were already having issues earlier. A signal problem occurred at London Blackfriars. Therefore, fewer Thameslink trains will run today.

Police reported finding a person on the tracks. Paramedics went too, but the person died, remember? You can call Samaritans at 116 123 if you need support. They also have email support.
