Harrison Harvey, 25, died February 9th. It happened at 4:15 PM on the A179. The location was between Hart Village and Raby Arms in Hartlepool. He was a pedestrian when it occurred.

Harrison was a talented artist and a budding graphic designer. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The road closed for several hours after this.

Friends and family remember Harrison’s wonderful life. Over £9,000 has been raised to help give him a send-off.

His cousin, Faye Piercy, is 25. She said Harrison was lovely and unique, but in a good way. He never pretended to be someone else. Everyone loved Harrison for who he was.

Harrison was always a good person who never caused trouble or followed crowds. Faye added that he was kind, and family functions were not the same without him because he always hugged you hello.

Harrison graduated from Leeds Beckett University. Faye said he was wonderful, but words don’t fully describe him. He tried hard in school, but wasn’t drawn to art until he “went for it” at Hartlepool College and thrived there.

He exceeded his own expectations, and art school suited him well. He would have had a great career because Harrison got a graphic design degree from Leeds Beckett University and recently landed his dream job.

Faye addressed comments about his life being wasted, stating he achieved his dreams and made his life what he wanted. She admits it was waste of a future but added that he didn’t waste his life.

Everyone who knew Harrison loved him. People share tributes showing his personality, and these tributes make his family happy and make them giggle. Faye views his Facebook page every day searching for more.

The initial fundraising goal was only a few thousand, but over 300 people donated money, and the support for his family is overwhelming. Funds exceeding the funeral costs will help the family grieve, and they plan to install a bench in Ward Jackson Park.

Hartlepool College shared a tribute to Harrison, who was a former art student and recently worked as a mentor there. The college flew their flag at half-mast.
