Kirkhill man David Sellers, former Beauly Angling Club secretary, passes away at 78. Funeral in Inverness.

David, from Kirkhill, died at Raigmore Hospital on February 2nd at the age of 78. He had been married to Carolyn for 54 years, who was with him when he passed.
He was the Beauly Angling Club’s secretary, serving in this role for over twenty years. Club members will miss his easy fishing casts and his friendly nature.
A club spokesperson said Dave was a key committee member. Dave managed membership details and permits, knowing the members very well and helping people new to the River Beauly.
Dave taught fishing to many people, some from other countries. He showed them when to cast on the river, even though the river beats were sometimes difficult.
Stephen Miller commented on David’s funeral notice, saying David was a friend to his late parents. Morag Johnson also commented, noting that David taught her fishing casts and sending thoughts to his family.
David’s funeral will be on Monday, February 17th, at 2pm at William T Fraser & Son in Inverness. Everyone is welcome to celebrate his life.
