The 45-year-old appeared in court via video link from HMP New Hall. She pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The charges include conspiracy to murder. Betro allegedly conspired with two men to kill Aslat Mahumad and target his family in August and September 2019.

The firearm offense allegedly occurred on September 8, 2019. The ammunition charge covers September and October 2019, involving smuggling ammo into the UK.

Betro, wearing glasses and a striped top, sat at a desk in prison. The court hearing lasted about twelve minutes. Her next hearing is on April 3.

Judge Andrew Smith KC addressed Betro, saying her trial will start July 21. The judge is preparing for the trial and will give more instructions later. He told Betro she would stay in custody until her pre-trial review on April 3.
