Hey, there’s this dog named Val. She’s a two-year-old Belgian Shepherd. Dogs Trust Darlington took her in last March. They rescued her with her six puppies.

Her pups all got adopted already. Sadly, Val still needs a home. The people at the rescue really care about her and are hoping she finds love soon.

Val can seem a bit boisterous, but really, she’s smart, loving, and playful. New situations do make her anxious, especially with strangers.

Beverley Watson works at Dogs Trust Darlington and says Val just wants to love and be loved. The staff helps Val feel more secure, and she’s becoming more confident slowly.

Val now has great bonds with her caretakers and has even made some new volunteer friends. She enjoys spending time with people a lot. Val loves snuggling and fun activities.

She’s a clever dog who loves games; fetch happens to be her absolute favorite. Most dogs stay at Dogs Trust around 60 days. Big dogs, like Val, wait longer for homes.

The charity has over 400 large dogs currently. Last year, large dogs made up 20% of their intake. Beverley Watson said big dogs are harder to rehome, but they have huge personalities.

Val will bring joy, loyalty, and love. The rescue hopes she finds her forever person. She needs a quiet adult home, and peaceful countryside walks are perfect for Val. Her new owners must be patient and kind and must give her time to adjust. Find more dogs at Dogs Trust Darlington’s website.
