New recycling bins with multiple sections are being installed across the Vale to make recycling simpler.

They will put bins in twenty-four spots soon. You will see them at Penarth seafront. They are also going to Barry Island and The Knap. The bins are headed to town centers, too. Cosmeston and Porthkerry parks will also get them.
The council decided to get these bins. They looked at how they clean streets already. People gave feedback on existing bin use. They also looked at where bins are.
The council wants less bin misuse now. People dumped waste illegally in some areas. These new bins should help stop that. Old mixed waste bins will be removed, too.
They found some bins were not used much. Sadly, fly-tipping happened near those bins. A council member, Mark Wilson, spoke about the bins.
He said recycling will be easier than ever. It will be easy in busy locations. Young people asked for this change. They wanted recycling in parks and resorts.
Summer feedback showed limited public options. Keeping centers clean was a concern. The council listened, Wilson explained. They checked their services to respond.
Removing old bins helps recycling. New bins make services cheaper, too. Wilson explained the council aims to stop fly-tipping. Removing the misused bins fixes the problem. They are removing bins abused by a few.
