Viral video shows fly-tipping near Bradford City stadium before a match. Council acts after public outcry.

The alley had a fridge, a suitcase, mattresses, and food containers. This alley connects Manningham Lane and Burlington Street and is next to Valley Parade stadium. A bus stop makes it a popular shortcut.
People in the video seemed genuinely disgusted and harshly described Bradford because of the trash. The video also showed a man urinating in public, and it quickly went viral online.
The Telegraph & Argus asked the Council about this mess. Currently, Council officers have removed all the rubbish.
Bradford Council said the road is partly unadopted. They plan to recover cleaning costs from the landowner and will talk to local businesses to ensure proper waste disposal. Bradford Council clears public roads but isn’t obligated to clean private ones.
The illegal dumping happened near a recycling center, only a very short drive away. A Council spokesperson spoke about the fly-tipping and confirmed the land is partly unadopted.
The Council will ensure the area gets cleaned quickly and try to recover costs from the owner. They will also check local business waste practices as fly-tipping is a crime in the city.
Offenders could face fines or even jail time; public urination is also a punishable offense. People can report fly-tipping to the Council by calling or using the online form.
