E-bike rental giant Voi aims to launch in Totton. It promises green travel. Affordable commuting is also touted.

David Harrison is a local councilor representing Totton and Marchwood. He learned about the plan from the county. Around fifty bikes will be available, funded by a government plan. Locations will be all over Totton.
Harrison asked about a station in Marchwood, suggesting people could bike between Eling and Marchwood. Voi will think about this request. Harrison likes the plan overall and thinks it works well in other places.
Voi needs space for bike stations and wants to use the sidewalks. The funding deadline is in June, and they want the program running by summer. The first contract lasts two years and can be extended for eight more. The council will get a small profit.
James Bolton runs Voi in the UK. He said Voi is happy to work with the council and plans to bring e-bikes to Totton. He hopes the bikes will be on the road soon. Bikes help people commute in other areas. Voi looks forward to offering a new way to travel.
