Wandsworth freezes council tax for the third year. This means residents pay the lowest rate nationwide.

Simon Hogg, the council leader, talked about this. He said good finances are key to everything they do. Wandsworth’s debt is low, and their financial reserves are high, too. This allows them to freeze tax and simultaneously invest in local needs. Priorities include cleaner streets and safer neighborhoods.
From April, a Band D bill will be just £990, which is the lowest in the whole country. However, some homes in the west will pay a bit more because of a levy from the Commons Conservators.
The council is increasing the adult social care precept by 2% to help vulnerable residents. This extra money will support vital care. They stated that looking after older residents is crucial, and they will support the NHS as well.
The council listens to what residents want and has a guarantee for reporting problems. Issues like graffiti get fixed quickly, and they will collect your bulky waste twice a year for free.
The council is putting money into safety. Over 1,200 CCTV cameras watch over Wandsworth, and they are also improving parks and public spaces. Additionally, Wandsworth is the London Borough of Culture for 2025.
