Warminster Town Council launches consultation on future housing needs to 2038. Share your thoughts via survey by April 6.

A launch event is on March 8. It’s at the Civic Centre, 10 AM to 3 PM. You can also use surveys until April 6.
The council will ask you two questions. First, are available sites good for housing? Experts have checked sites from landowners. A local group also considered them.
The second question asks about housing site needs. Should trees or views be protected? Are better roads or paths needed?
This feedback shapes the Warminster plan. It gives the community more planning power. The council studies housing needs to 2038. This includes affordable housing.
The plan aims to amplify local voices in planning. The government wants more UK housebuilding. They plan 1.5 million new homes overall. They stated a goal to create new towns.
Most will expand existing cities or towns. Some will be brand new settlements. Each new town should have 10,000 homes. This helps meet the target of 1.5 million homes.
People have suggested over 100 potential sites. The exact locations are currently unknown. You can share feedback through an online survey. Start March 8 at warminsterplan.com. Paper surveys are at the Warminster Civic Centre.
