Litter pickers cleaned up Warndon around Saddler’s Walk and Shap Drive. Cllrs. Kimberley and Desayrah were also there.

A cat stole the show, following the cleaning crew around Warndon. This litter pick happens monthly for community pride.

The Warndon team meets every third Sunday at 11am and 2pm. This was their second month working, focusing on Saddler’s Walk and Shap Drive.

Cllr. Kimberley spoke about the cleanup, noting that the team gained an unusual follower. A local cat named Mona Lisa liked the litter pickers and spent the whole hour following them.

Vicky Ballard, Mona Lisa’s owner, said Mona brightened the day. Kids enjoyed petting the cat, and the cat reminded people about community spaces.

Cllr. Kimberley called it a beautiful moment, thanking all of the volunteers and the engagement team. The engagement team supplied kit and hot drinks.

Last month, we reported on the first cleanup, with people from Warndon helping out. Local moms and their kids joined in, cleaning parts of the estate.
