Warndon Parish changes name to Warndon Villages to reduce confusion due to area overlaps.

Warndon Parish Council asked the city council for this change. They made the request back in January. A suggestion was brought up by a city councillor named Adam Cross. He brought it up at a city council meeting on February 18.
Cross mentioned that this name change is mostly formal. It matters greatly to the parish council and local people. He thinks knowing your area is very important, so he supported the name change.
Former parish council members agreed with this decision. Ed Kimberley and Robyn Norfolk are now city councillors. Kimberley noted that Warndon confuses many people. He sees different groups with strong opinions.
Warndon Parish differs greatly from the old Warndon ward. Warndon Parish includes two city wards: Lyppard Grange and St Nicholas. Warndon is also part of another ward, Warndon and Elbury Park.
Ronkswood Hills Meadows marks the border, and Tolladine Road defines the division. These lie between Warndon and the Villages. The Parish Council will now be specifically named Warndon Villages Parish Council.
Kimberley believes that this change will stop confusion. “Warndon Villages” is the name locals already recognize. He is confident that this name change will help a lot.
