Steven Stone went to court. It happened at Warrington Magistrates’ Court last Thursday. He lives on Loushers Lane in Latchford. He admitted to public indecency at a prior hearing.

The court learned about the incident. It happened around 1:30 a.m. on October 18th. This was last year on Academy Way. A CCTV operator reported a man in the road.

The man was half in the road, lying on his back at that moment. The operator noticed something else too: the man was playing with himself as taxis drove past. He was soon identified as Stone, age 46.

Prosecutors said Stone exposed himself and moved his hand up and down. Police officers arrived at the location and arrested Stone right then. The court learned about his past criminal record too.

Stone had six prior convictions that included 22 offenses. Stone represented himself in court and apologized for his behavior. “I am ashamed,” he stated to the court. “I am so sorry. I will never do it again.”

Magistrates gave Stone a 12-month community order. He must complete rehabilitation days, potentially totaling up to 20 and attend a mental health program. Stone also received a fine of £576.

The chair spoke to Stone directly, stating firmly, “You must cooperate. The Probation Service requires cooperation. If you don’t follow instructions, you will return to court.” She advised him that failing to comply could mean jail.
