Orpington Waterstones closed February 16 due to landlord issues. The bookstore plans to reopen in a new location.
Apparently, they had to close shop, and it sounds like issues arose with their landlord. That is never a good situation.
Waterstones said they will come back to Orpington, wanting to open in a new spot later on, although they did not say where it would be. For now, they want people to visit other stores.
Bromley’s Glades branch is pretty close. You could go there. Their official statement mentioned the landlord problems. They said they had no other choice but to close fast. The last day was February 16.
Waterstones enjoyed serving the Orpington area for so long and are excited about opening up again sometime soon. Until then, they would love your support. Please visit one of their other Waterstones stores.
