Sleep Out event to raise awareness about homelessness in Watford, offering support via local charities.

Watford FC’s Trust organizes it, working with One YMCA, DENS, and Herts Young Homeless. New Hope also helps to run the sleep out, building on the past Dreams United event success.
People are invited to sleep outside at Watford FC, in the Rookery stand all night. This experience mirrors what homeless people face daily, sleeping without usual comforts.
Vibe FM’s Lee Partridge will host the evening, and Electric Umbrella will perform live. People helped by charities will share their stories, in addition to other activities occurring at the event.
Raising £50 earns you a beanie hat, while raising £350 lets you choose a hoodie. A sustainable option exists as well, through Ecologi.
The top fundraiser wins a prize, and getting £1,000 earns a hotel stay. This prize is a night for two at The Grove, in a deluxe room in the west wing.
About 150 people have signed up already, but more spaces exist although time is short. The minimum age to join is eight years old, making it easy for families and groups to participate together.
Local businesses actively support the Stadium Sleep Out; Foxtons and Warner Bros are helping out. Morgan Sindall and Topgolf have also given donations to the cause.
Gather & Gather will supply all the food. West Herts Hospital covers car parking costs. All money raised goes to the five charities involved.
