Plans for six cabins with minimal land impact offer guests a relaxing escape focused on nature near Wakefield House.

The plan features six private cabins total. Two cabins will have two double bedrooms each. The other four cabins have one double bedroom.
Davoch Developments wants a quiet spot, aiming to keep each cabin secluded. The plan aims to create a relaxing escape that celebrates Wakefield House’s nature.
Their statement says the project will help visitors unwind and escape the stress of modern life. Every detail embraces nature fully, including buildings and components.
They want the project to minimize land impact. A natural pond will be the main feature, with paths around it leading to the cabins.
Cabins use small foundations to protect nature. Solar panels give electricity and heating. They also plan to expand the stone barns, where retreat activities such as yoga will happen.
The office for managing the cabins will also be there. The nearby barn becomes a dining room and a separate games room.
An outdoor sauna is planned too and will sit near the woods by Wakefield House. The retreat will get a separate car park with two EV chargers in the parking area.
The council and developer meet on March 12 to discuss these plans together.
