Wepre Post Office confirms its relocation to Shotton, with enhanced services and extended hours at a renovated site.
A consultation about this move happened last December, and they finalized the decision now.
The new space used to be a NatWest bank. It is currently empty but the building needs some work inside. They’re adding a card and stationery shop alongside the Post Office.
The current postmaster saw a chance to move to a better spot. This helps them continue serving the community and helps their business succeed.
Shotton Post Office remains a main branch. All services and products will remain the same.
There will be three service points inside: one with a screen, one open, and a counter service point.
The new hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and Saturday, 9am to 1pm. Weekday hours extend from current timings.
Limited parking exists on Alexandra Street, with paid parking nearby. Disabled spots feature in surrounding lots.
