Survey reveals traffic, parking, and road safety are top issues for West Leeds residents.

The council asked about transport problems. They looked at vehicles, parking, walking, cycling, and buses. Locals also mentioned the area’s general appearance.
The survey showed main concerns. Thirty-eight percent talked about vehicles and parking. Cycling got twenty-three percent of responses. Walking and wheeling got twenty-one percent. The street environment and bus access each had nine percent.
Car problems include bad parking and speeding. People hate traffic jams and rat runs. Cycling issues involve safety and bad routes. Crossing roads seems risky.
Walking problems mean blocked pathways and narrow pavements. They also said accessing buses is difficult. Crossing to bus stops is hard. Shelters are too small leading to congestion.
The survey included Calverley & Farsley. Farnley & Wortley and Pudsey also took part.
The council needs money for improvements. They will seek outside funding sources. The plan with suggested changes depends on it. Ideas for changes exist.
Over 3,500 people visited the site. Two hundred fifty-nine people left comments. They made 799 contributions total. The report analyzed 1,164 comments.
