Police in Middleton and Belle Isle focus on drugs, seize a vehicle, and address speeding in 20mph zones.

Police searched the car thoroughly, finding a knife and drug evidence. The evidence suggested class A drugs supply. Two men were arrested at the location, as they were involved in supplying class A drugs.
The police seized the vehicle for investigation. Later searches found more evidence, and this evidence linked the men to drug activity. The police investigation continues at this time.
This year, police focused on “Vision Zero.” Vision Zero aims to reduce road deaths. They reported five speeding incidents in a 20mph zone where speeds were recorded as 34, 33, 33, 31, and 32 mph.
Four people got summons for speeding in the same zone with speeds of 37, 35, 36, and 39 mph. Additionally, one person drove without a license or insurance. Police gave eleven warnings for speeds between 20-30 mph.
They issued two tickets for school parking violations. Other offences included driving without due care, driving outside licence conditions, and one vehicle having no MOT certificate. Police also recovered a cloned stolen vehicle.
Someone was reported for no insurance with illegal tires. During traffic checks, police performed four drug searches and seized some drugs during these stops.
