Woman assaulted on New Quay Road in Whitby. Police seek witnesses after a man attacked her on February 15.

A man reportedly shoved a woman, pushing her into an alley. He kicked her while she was on the street. He punched her inside a black Volkswagen, according to North Yorkshire Police.
The man then threatened two people who tried to help – a man and a woman. They ran into The Waiting Rooms for safety, a police spokesperson shared.
Luckily, no one needed a doctor. Those involved are not from Whitby. Officers are asking witnesses to come forward.
The suspect seemed drunk. He’s a white man with thinning hair, wearing black cargo pants and work boots.
Did you see a man with a tattooed eye on his left cheek? Did you see him in a pub on New Quay Road? He might know something important.
