Hey! I wanted to tell you about the Wick meeting. Police gave stats for last month. Violence, drugs, and drunk driving are issues, according to a community council meeting. Sergeant Brian Hamilton made the report.

Wick had no drop in these crimes. Assaults, drugs, and drunk driving stayed consistent. February 2025 saw 31 total offenses recorded. Public order had 15 offenses, and there were three dishonesty offenses.

Assaults had three incidents. Drugs also had three incidents. One sudden death happened. Road traffic had five offenses, two involving drunk or drugged drivers. Police got 106 incident reports in February.

Police focus on six main areas. Protecting people is very important. They also reduce antisocial behavior and violence. Tackling substance abuse and making roads safer matters, as fighting serious crime remains key.

The police document notes violence remains steady. They patrol often and target problem areas. Patrols are directed by public reports. Drugs misuse also is steady. Officers search people acting suspiciously.

Eighteen people were arrested last month. Two new officers now work in Wick, having started recently and are doing great. Two or three more trainees start in April/May. Some teens had weapons and drugs last year, found via police searches.
