Andrew Gill, a solicitor in Wiltshire, marks 60 years in law. He joined Forrester Sylvester Mackett in 1988 and is a notary public.

His experience gave him an appreciation of client needs. He knows what both individuals and businesses need. Andrew now focuses on property work that is non-contentious, and he is also a notary public in Malmesbury. His office is on the High Street.
He helps clients in North Wiltshire and also serves the South Cotswolds area, including Swindon and Chippenham. He assists clients from further away as well. Andrew became a notary public in 1974.
His notary work exists separate from his firm. The Archbishop of Canterbury regulates it. At 82, Andrew still travels to the office. He visits the Malmesbury office one day each week and works from home the other four days.
The firm is celebrating Andrew’s long service and planning a formal dinner to honor him. Matthew Paterson said Andrew is the best lawyer and stated they have always worked together.
Andrew holds opinions on many things. He mixes knowledge with humor and dedication, and he also has a positive attitude. Andrew feels fortunate to have helped many clients. He says work has kept him young over time.
He has seen major changes in law over 60 years. Andrew thinks not all those changes are positive. He found his time with FSM fulfilling and will miss working when he retires.
When not working, Andrew enjoys the countryside. He likes looking after his many animals.
