Firefighters visited Rose Lodge in Wisbech for a community coffee morning. Residents learned about their work.

Rose Lodge Care Home hosted the fire and rescue team as part of their community coffee morning event. Firefighters chatted with everyone there and talked about their jobs. They shared town news over tea and cake in the café.
Wisbech Mayor Sidney Imafidon came too. People from Healthwatch and St John’s Church joined in. The chef made scones with cream and served several different kinds of cake. Everyone enjoyed the treats together.
Rose Lodge’s manager, Meg Jones, shared that the care home invited emergency workers to visit. The home wanted to thank the police, ambulance, and fire services, offering them free breaks.
Rose Lodge offers them drinks and tasty snacks, in addition to healthy fruit. The care home helps 56 people, providing residential, nursing, and dementia care, with both short and long stays available.
