The Wisbech Mart is happening now. People sound excited about the annual fair. It arrived last weekend and opened Friday. The weather was sunny and bright.

The Showman’s Guild set up many rides for all ages in Church Terrace car park, which is near St Peter’s Church.

The fair moved from Chapel Road, where it used to be for years. The National Trust owns Chapel Road car park, which they lease to Fenland Council. The National Trust stopped allowing the fair there.

The public chose Church Terrace after a consultation about the move. The announcement came last month. The Showman’s Guild uses the car park and will be there until March 9 at 5pm. The car park is closed to cars then.

New rides are at the fair this year, along with old favorites. Super Trooper and Bomber are back again.

The fair opens at 6pm each day, Saturday at 2pm, and Sunday at 12pm. Thrills and side stalls are there. Kids’ Night is Thursday, March 6, and all rides cost £1.50, though some might not be included.
