Three suspects arrested after a burglary attempt in Witham. Quick police response led to arrests and recovered stolen cash.

Around 4 AM, police got a call about a break-in at a house on Newman Crescent in Witham. The intruders broke in and stole hundreds of pounds in cash. They then left in a black Audi car.
Patrol units found the car fast, using real-time information to locate it. The car was seen on the A12 road. Special officers, including Roads Policing and armed units, then took action to stop the Audi safely using a boxing-in tactic.
They arrested three people at the scene: two women and one man. Police suspected them of burglary. Officers found about £500 in cash and other related items likely connecting them to the crime.
The suspects are still in custody now, as police are still questioning them about the incident. Detective Chief Inspector Jennifer Bliss commented on the operation, praising the Essex Police team’s speed in making three key arrests very quickly.
She said this all happened in just 12 minutes and the suspects were in custody that fast. Police officers do work like this daily.
