Jemma Hart, 45, was found dead at her Swindon home. Her dogs ate parts of her body after she passed away.

Neighbors hadn’t seen Jemma for a month. They called the police in January of 2024. A neighbor, Lorraine, said Jemma had mental health issues, and she heard the dogs barking.
Lorraine tried to use her key, but another key was inside the lock. Lorraine asked the police to check on Jemma. Police then found her body.
Jemma had broken up with her boyfriend around Christmas of 2023. Her dogs were starving when they ate her in late January 2024.
Jemma’s son spoke at her inquest this year. He said the dogs meant everything to her and shared a tribute to her on Facebook last year, saying she passed away unexpectedly on January 29th.
Jemma got a dachshund named Frankie in 2022 and another one, Millie, a year later. She often walked her dogs in Lydiard Park, according to details shared by Coroner Ian Singleton.
Police were called on January 29th since neighbors hadn’t seen her since Christmas. Officers found Jemma dead in her living room. One dog was also dead, and the other dog appeared distressed.
