Police need help finding witnesses. The police called the attack “terrifying” for the woman. It happened in Clydebank over the weekend. She was sexually assaulted, officers said.

Two people stopped the assault. They saw a man attacking the woman. Another man stood by in the car park near The Crescent, Dalmuir. This happened around 8:20 pm on Saturday.

The two men left when challenged and headed toward Dalmuir train station. People think they spoke with Eastern European accents. Police describe the first man as white, 30-40 years old, about 5ft 7in and of average build.

The second man is also white, 30-40 years old and of average build. He’s 5ft 9in with short dark hair. Both men wore dark clothes and carried rucksacks. The incident occurred near The Crescent.

Police are asking around and checking local CCTV footage. Detective Inspector Craig Bate said this was terrifying for the woman and upset those who helped her. He thinks there was a sexual motive.

Specialist officers are helping the victim now. Many flats overlook the area, near a main road, which was likely busy at the time. If you were there from 8:10 pm to 8:30 pm, speak up. Do you know anything that could assist?
